Leadership
The Georgia Legal Food Frenzy is organized by a dedicated team of volunteer leaders from the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, in partnership with the Office of the Georgia Attorney General and Feeding Georgia. Each year, these leaders dedicate countless hours to running one of Georgia's most successful charitable competitions.
Young Lawyers Division Leadership
The Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Georgia leads volunteer planning and execution of the Legal Food Frenzy. The YLD represents attorneys in their first five years of practice, and the Legal Food Frenzy is one of the division's flagship service initiatives.
Partner Organizations
Alongside the YLD's volunteer leadership, the Legal Food Frenzy is produced in partnership with three organizations that make this statewide effort possible.
The Office of the Georgia Attorney General — led by Attorney General Chris Carr — has championed the Legal Food Frenzy since its inception. The Attorney General personally presents the Attorney General's Cup to the winning firm at the State Bar Annual Meeting each June, and issues the Billable Hour Challenge to attorneys statewide during every competition.
The State Bar of Georgia provides institutional support, communications reach, and recognition through the Bar President's Award, given annually to the team with the highest total points in the competition.
Feeding Georgia, the statewide association of regional food banks, administers the competition logistics and ensures that every dollar and pound of food raised reaches the Feeding Georgia member food bank serving that team's community.
